Cispus

Cispus AMA emphasizes innovative management of landscapes and watersheds to provide for high quality timber, mature forest ecosystems, aquatic and riparian functions, and recreation opportunities. Management is responsive to the role of people in landscapes and promotes social science research. The roles of people in landscapes are critical, thus management.

This area is formally part of the international model forest network and includes  143,900-acres of mountainous forest near Randle, Morton, and Packwood, Washington, on the Gifford Pinchot National Forest in the south Washington Cascades Province. Nearby lands include private lands, state lands, the Yakima Indian Reservation and the Rainier National Park. Associated communities include Packwood, Randle, Glenoma, Morton, and Mossyrock, Washington.
