| A 172,900 acre area located in northern
California, east of the Interstate 5 corridor on the Klamath National
Forest. The Goosenest focuses on development of
ecosystem management approaches for managing pine forests, including objectives
related to forest health, production and maintenance of mature forests,
riparian habitat, and timber. Associated
communities are many including Klamath Falls, Keno, Dorris, Macdoel,
Yreka, Montague, Tennant, Weed, and Mount Shasta, California.
