These sessions offer focused study on some of the principles underlying the Main Tracks. Each session is offered once during the week.
ParticipantsThis course is for those who want to expand their awareness themselves and others in relation to conflict, and assess how environmental issues can be affected by people's styles of handling conflict.

This is a brief introductory level session which uses the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Inventory. Participants will receive their pre-work when they check in at Cispus. This session focuses on conflict involving natural resource issues, not interpersonal conflict.

Participants sharing a good laughThis session will introduce participants to different modes for handling conflict, and explain how to identify those different modes. We will explore the differences between compromise and collaboration; and learn to apply the modes for analyzing environmental conflicts.

This was the most difficult and challenging, yet most fun, workshop I have ever attended. Well worth the time spent."
