These sessions offer focused study on some of the principles underlying the Main Tracks.  Each session is offered once during the week.

This session is for those who want to engage youth and adults in learning about natural resources. Whether at an event, in the field, with a classroom, or on a tour, this session is for you. We will focus on key environmental education fundamentals including techniques, tips, resources, and a planning template for "hands-on, minds-on" learning about natural resources. 

Participants will:

  • Recognize your agency's role in environmental education 

  • Identify ways natural resources agencies engage in environmental education

  • List challenges and develop strategies for conducting  learning experiences

  • Engage in hands-on activities and strategies

  • Review resources

  • Explore tips, techniques and tools of the trade.
