LOGO - GO TO CISPUS HOMEGroup Decision Making Skills & Techniques

Everyone is scheduled to attend these sessions which are reinforced and expanded during sessions throughout the week. Our workshop has been designed around four Core Competencies.  These sessions help ensure that everyone, regardless of track they attend, is exposed to certain base skills and concepts.  The Main Tracks will build on these concepts and show how to apply tools and techniques to situations common to the track. To keep class sizes small several small courses are held concurrently.

This is a quick look at an essential component of all group processes - making decisions!  This session will involve participants in activities to help understand different decision-making methods and clarify the steps necessary to reach closure on an issue. By the end of the session, you will better understand ways to avoid common pitfalls and learn facilitative tools to handle the predictable problems groups have in reaching decisions.

"The manner in which the material was presented will help me remember.
I have been involved in group activities before, but these activities were
somehow different." - Cispus Workshop Participant, 2003
