Cispus Workshop 2003

If you took Learning Styles, you will definitely want to take Applying Learning Styles. In this session we boldly go where few have gone before - the brain. We explore your learning preference and whether you are left, right, or whole brain oriented. We look at the eight different learners within each of us. Using the materials presented, you will be able to sit down and write an effective briefing, lesson plan, presentation to your boss or be able to convince you spouse that you really need that new car. Bring in an idea or information that you want to present and put it to the challenge.

This session is always popular and a lot of fun. It provides insight to the people with whom we interact every day. It is also a practical tool, that through practice and use helps us to focus any presentation, ensuring that all the learning preferences within a group grasp the ideas being communicated.

-- A review of your preference when you learn.
-- We look at personal tendency toward right or left brain.
-- We explore the value of this information.
-- There is no learning like doing. You get to put this new found information to use in developing your own lesson plan on a subject of your choice.
-- Then you get to take this information home and practice, practice, practice!
