Ken is currently the operations staff assistant for the Santiam River Zone, combining Sweet Home and Detroit Ranger Districts. Staff responsibilities include timber sale administration, sale preparation and silviculture. 

During his years with the Forest Service Ken has facilitated and participated in interdisciplinary team meetings. He was also on the Regional Workforce Diversity Council from 2001-2005 and the District Workforce Diversity Team from 1989 to 2001. 

In his spare time, Ken plays a lot of golf with his wife, averages about 190 on a couple of bowling leagues and enjoys hiking with his two border collies.
