Central Cascades Adaptive Management Partnership
A Science-Management Partnership in
the West-Central Cascades of Oregon
About CCAMP
WHO WE ARE
CCAMP is an intersection of state and federal organizations, coming together to integrate their science and natural resource management talents to develop solutions to complex natural resource challenges.
OUR FOCUS
CCAMP evaluates its role in natural resource management on a yearly basis to maintain its relevancy to current issues. The Steering Committee determined in 2007 that “Future Forest Management and Ecosystem Services” is the theme for its program of work. This emphasis includes the following focus areas:
- Climate variability and ecosystem response
- Landscape management
- Fire ecology
- Resilient landscapes
- Young stand management
- Watershed process/ hydrology
- Building a natural resource-literate public
The science-management partnership of CCAMP is currently composed of representatives from the Willamette National Forest, Eugene Bureau of Land Management, Pacific Northwest Research Station, H.J. Andrews Experimental Forest, and Oregon State University. Other organizations participate as needed for specific issues.
Organization
CCAMP is overseen by a "steering committee" with representation from each of the
science-management partners. The roles of the steering committee include
meeting quarterly to:
- Validate program themes on a yearly basis
- Bring forward information needs/topics for exploration and determine their priority as part of the CCAMP program on a yearly basis.
- Provide insight on options and resources available in respective organizations to get high priority work done.
- Share pertinent information on what's happening in respective organizations - helps us keep connected and have context.
- Help maintain the visibility of the Partnership.
- Building a natural resource-literate public
