Description:

Abstract:

Arc polygon coverage of the boundaries of the Marbled Murrelet Zones (1 & 2), first developed for FEMAT (1993). These zones correspond to the range of the Marbled Murrelet in WA, OR and CA. In May 2004, the coastline, including the islands of Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands (SJI) region, and the US/Canadian border were updated based upon the Physiographic Province boundary coverage (phypro), which was also developed for FEMAT (1993). These changes impacted Conservation Zones 1 through 5 (from the Marbled Murrelet Recovery Plan), but not Zone 6, which is outside the range of the NWFP.

Purpose:

These zones correspond to the range of the Marbled Murrelet in WA, OR and CA. This update was performed to establish consistancy across data layers being used for analysis purposes in the NWFP Effectiveness Monitoring efforts.
