Temporary Student Employment with AREMP
We may hire Field Support Staff, Office Support Staff, and Data Assistant positions through the Student Temporary Employment Program (STEP) at the GS-3, GS-4 or GS-5 grade levels.
Am I a student?
That's a good question. Check out the exact requirements at www.or.blm.gov/or953/seep/2003/2003-stepinfo.htm. [Intranet Link] They break down something like this... Are you?
- Sixteen (16) years of age or older; and
- Currently enrolled in a degree seeking program; and
- A US citizen; and
- Taking enough credit hours to be considered enrolled half time; and
- Are you passing with at least a 2.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)?
If so, congratulations, you qualify for the Student Temporary Employment Program (STEP).
If you are currently a student that will graduate this spring (April, May, or June) and have not been accepted to another program (graduate degree, bachelors degree, etc.) that meets the above requirements then you do not qualify as a student.
